Race season is here and the Late mods are ready. Buzz Motorsports has tested and is very pleased with their results.
Buzz Motorsports tested at Grundy County Speedway on April 19th in preparation of the upcoming start of the fast paced action
of the American Speed Association Late Model North Series.
Derek Neville started the day off with taking it slow and getting a feel for the car and allowing the tires to come to
temperature. After a couple of hours and a couple of 30-45 laps sessions Derek had a great feel for the car and had a best
lap time of 15.80 with a green track and cool temperatures. Very impressive for a new car and a driver that has not been in
a late mod on asphalt.
The afternoon had more favorable conditions with air temps in the low 80's and track temps around 100-110 degrees. Nick
Neville strapped himself into the second of the two car team and also allowed himself to get a feel of the car and track.
As the day wore on from session to session changes were made and Nick's best lap was a 15.64!
So the results from test session one are very impressive and driving coach Bobby Hutton did a outstanding job with all
aspects from coaching Nick and Derek all the way to coaching the team on do's and don't's.
Please check back for more test results from test session two at I-70 speedway. Buzz Motorsports will compete at I-70
speedway with the many talented teams for the first win of the ASALMS North series!
